Welcome to the web site of the Daylily Society of Greater Atlanta. (DSGA) We are a garden club of people who love daylilies and we invite you to become a member. Our club was founded in 1962 and currently has over 100 active members.
DSGA is an affiliated member of the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) and is organized as a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to promote and encourage the cultivation, study, development and improvement of the genus Hemerocallis, and to foster its public interest. (An unstated purpose is to provide the membership with the joy of getting to know other gardeners and of growing daylilies.)
The society was originally founded under the name “Greater Atlanta Hemerocallis Society”. The name was changed to “Daylily Society of Greater Atlanta” in 2004. In an effort to minimize travel time and to encourage more participation, DSGA has local chapter meeting in two satellite locations: Tucker and Roswell. These satellite chapters have local meetings in February, August, and November. Members and guests are invited to attend either or both chapter meetings. All other activities are combined for the entire membership. (See 2006 Schedule of Events on this website)
